" Samtidigt pågår ett stort arbete för att skydda människor från övergrepp, exploatering, människohandel och våld. Våra kollegor identifierar flyktingar i riskzonen, bedömer risker för människohandel och utbildar volontärer. Vi bygger också upp barnvänliga och säkra hjälpmottagningar längs gränserna, flyktvägarna och i Ukrainas grannländer. De är kända som "Blue Dots" och är navet för skydd och information.
– Det är viktigt att informera människor hur de kan skydda sig. De bör inte ta skjuts från främlingar, inte lämna över sina id-handlingar till någon obehörig och veta att all assistans är gratis, berättar Alexander Mundt, krisexpert på UNHCR.
"At the same time, a great deal of work is being done to protect people from abuse, exploitation, human trafficking and violence. Our colleagues identify refugees in the risk zone, assess risks of human trafficking and train volunteers.
We are also building child-friendly and safe aid clinics along borders, escape routes and in Ukraine's neighboring countries. They are known as "Blue Dots" and are the hub of protection and information.
- It is important to inform people how they can protect themselves.
They should not take rides from strangers, not hand over their ID documents to anyone unauthorized and know that all assistance is free, says Alexander Mundt, crisis expert at UNHCR.
